Supplies and baggage are brought in from this point by oxcart. Your chef and your guides walk in and out every day at the hour of your request leaving you with the maximum flexibility and privacy. Radio provides outside communication and the ultimate in room service. A satellite phone is also available.
The honeymoon cabin itself was constructed almost entirely from native woods found on the property. It has hardwood floors, immense panoramic windows to enjoy the amazing views of the surrounding valley, wood powered stove for heating and cooking, hot running water, and solar powered electricity. Sample Honeymoon Vacation Ranchito: Customizable Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Introductions
Arrive at either of our entry points in Puerto Montt, Chile or Esquel, Argentina, the gateways to Patagonia. Connect with our company representative and travel to the remote riverside town of Futaleufu, surrounded by majestic mountains. Here you will find your exclusive accommodations at our CondorNest Honeymoon Cabin. A hearty meal, Pisco Sours, and wonderful views welcome you to Patagonia, Chile.

Day 2: Mt. Bike Ride to Throne Room
The first day of your honeymoon in Chile is an active one. After breakfast, our Specialized mountain bikes will be waiting for your ride uptream to view the most furious rapid on the river, the Throne Room. We park our bikes as we hike several hundred yards on a trail cut into a rock cliff along the river. This Class V+ rapid is a whitewater power storm blasting through a narrowing in the canyon walls. After viewing this maelstrom from a cliff above we have lunch on a gravel beach on the side of a hug, calm pool below. Fishing and swimming opportunities are yours to take. The river picks up speed 100 feet below us as it rushes through the narrowing canyon. Arrive back at the honeymoon cabin in time for dinner and as the stars settle for the night.
Day 3: Trekking to the Tres Monjas Peak
An early morning start allows one to climb as high as one wants to the base of Tres Monjas Peaks (Three Nuns)that stand sentinal over the Futaleufu River Valley. This trek offers a truly spectacular view of the Azul and Futaleufu River Valleys. Near the base is the unusual "enchanted forest" of the rare Lenga trees. The peak itself defines the border of Chile with Argentina. Carefully hiking down, you return to the camp sauna, a hot shower, and the back to the honeymoon cabin for a great meal prepared for you by your personal Chef.

Day 4: Honeymoon Vacation Relaxation Day
Today is your day to relax in the CondorNest honeymoon cabin. Take some of our fly rods and test your skills on the river, or go off on your own with the mountain bikes that are right outside your door. Try to get lost on the numerous trails that wind around the CondorNest region. Relax at the Honeymoon Cabin, sleep in, and enjoy each others company.
Day 5: Rafting the Corazon of the Futaleufu
In the morning we will raft Chile 's most action packed section of whitewater - a virtual whitewater power storm! This section, from the Zapata swinging bridge to the Puente Futaleufu, includes five miles of class IV+ rafting action. Rapids such as Entrada, Pillow, Tiburon, and Mundaca with its must-see explosion hole, will keep you on your toes. Swim tests and rescue techniques are taught prior to the day's run. A honeymoon vacation does not get more adenturous than this!
Day 6: Trek to Terminator Rapid
Today, you can choose how far you want to trek. You walk downstream through open meadows with views of the Futaleufu River below. Our destination is the Terminator Rapid and a lunch spot located by some Class IV rapids, one of the best waves on the river. The power and beauty of the Futaleufu River is awe inspiring and will take your breath away. After a relaxing picnic, you will trek back to the CondorNest Honeymoon cabin and its comforts.

Day 7: Horseback Ride to the Rio Azul Valley
After a scrumptious breakfast, horses are ready at our doorstep for today's activity. Our destination is the Rio Azul valley, where we ride on a trail up the glacier ringed Rio Azul Valley. We will enter a dark emerald green forest as we wind keep rising in altitude, getting the opportunity to see numerous waterfalls and crystal clear glacier-fed lakes. After a long days ride, return to the CondorNest in time for a late snack and dinner under the Southern Cross for our last evening of your honeymoon in Patagonia.
Day 8: Chile Honeymoon Vacation Departure
Wake up for an early breakfast and drive back to Chaitén, Chile and your flight to Puerto Montt, or relax for a couple of hours and take our shuttle to Esquel, Argentina. As you catch a final view of the Río Futaleufu; surrounded by hanging glaciers and snow capped mountains, take a moment to reflect upon all of the amazing sights and experiences of this past week. After all these years we are still stunned that views like these exist.
